Reviewed:
In "Camryn's Baby", we read about a husband and wife that run into a problem. The wife gets pregnant to satisfy the husband's parents and get a nice bag of cash, but she had sex with 17 different men to get that way, since the husband had a vasectomy years earlier. The biggest problem is she does it behind his back, and finds out from his own mother that she is pregnant.
The sex in this story is basically non-existent. Certainly nothing worth stroking over. A glimpse of what is happening between the wife and one of her many lovers, but that is it.
The story plot had potential, but it is not realized. The characters all behave in strange fashions. There is also a lack of transition from one mindset by a character to another mindset, it just happens. There is not enough emotion or detail to make it a compelling story.
Technically, there is nothing wrong with the story of note.
Overall, I was disappointed by this story. I wasn't able to find anything to like about a single character. For a while, I was trying to be on the husband's side, but at the very end, I lost that. His sudden turn-around from antipathy for his wife to acceptance, all because his own father gave him an absurd speech, took my sympathy away.
I don't recommend this story.
