All us guys have been there: 17 years old, driving our first car...one that we hope and pray will be a chick magnet to help get our ashes hauled. Our unnamed hero worked all summer to buy himself a Mustang, but the first chick that’s attracted to it is his dweeb 13-year old neighbor girl, Sara. Well, a girl is a girl, and he treats her to a ride.
Sara talks and blackmails her way into getting driven to the stables most days so she can ride her horse. Mustang boy is NOT a happy camper, because driving Sara is cutting into his free time. He is able to date a few girls who are closer to his age, but he remains in possession of his pesky virginity.
Meanwhile, he very gradually begins to see Sara in a different light. Just riding her horse brings out her inner beauty, and she doesn’t seem like such a dweeb after all. Through conversations, it becomes evident that she really likes our boy, and he’s starting to feel something for her.
Nature takes its course, and the two become a couple. This old romantic reviewer really enjoyed how the young girl got her guy, and the guy couldn’t be happier. This is another story that lives in my permanent collection.
