This is truly a wonderful story, it proves that even when a man is betrayed that their is love out that.
Landrious1, this need a sequel.

I kept alternating between a compulsion to find out what would happen next in The Last 24 Hours and an anger at Landrious1's heavy hand. The story has a subtle interweaving of plot and character that is compelling, but it presents itself with such black-and-white, hot-and-cold, my-way-or-the-highway images that I was off put.
...Until I finished and then read Landrious1's profile. This is his first story in a long time. And a wonderful first story it is. Filled with devious plans, intricate plot turns and twists, entertaining characters, a positive outlook on life despite setbacks, The Last 24 Hours was a worthwhile story to read.
Although I was upset by repeated, harsh, intemperate outbursts by the characters, the men and women of the town of Torrington all wormed their way into my world and I think of them as real people, not just as foils in a fictional phantasm. They took on life in Landrious1's imagination, and he presented them as real people to us.
The sex scenes were long and detailed. Somehow they weren't as exciting to me as I thought they should be. Maybe they were too long...I don't know. They were a significant part of the story, and they shared with us a somewhat different vision of the characters than other action did--almost like the songs from movie musicals of a half-century ago, when the characters broke into song, finished, and then went about their business. The songs told us something about relationships in those musicals that the other dialogue missed: so also the sex scenes in The Last 24 Hours. We learned of the compassion, commitment, loyalty, tenderness, other-centeredness of Alex more in those scenes than in his daily life.
By the end of his tale, Landrious1 has introduced us to a town with many intriguing characters. Additional stories will fit well into the same setting; we already know people in it who have interesting stories to tell.
The Last 24 Hours was ambitious in design, sweeping in scope, engaging in its character development. As Landrous1's skill develops, I expect to see more shades of gray in his writing style as he finesses us with his well-thought plots.
I shall enjoy additional follow ups to The Last 24 Hours; I expect there might be some.
