This is a delightful story, quite slow in its pace but that fits the characters, the location and the way that the plot unfolds. The author has taken time to paint sufficient detail to make everyone come to life, to make the locations easy to visualise and at no time stretches the bounds of reality too far.
When so much has been written, can any plot claim uniqueness or originality? Probably not but this one comes close.
If you are from the big island at the other side of the pond, stop and take a look at a typical English, set in a small town, story.
If you are in te little island, rejoice that we can compete with an overwhelming large number of authors and hold our own.
If Telephoneman would write more stories based in this location and involving many of the characters he has introduced us to, he might become an English Wes Boyd.
I do urge you to make time to read this, you won't regret it.
