A very nice though short story by an author I really do appreciate. I have read and enjoyed most of his stories and I can certainly recommend him as an author for you to follow.
This tale is set in some sort of mediaeval type of country. A young virgin Queen is presented with a naked captured leader of raiders and during questioning notices him "rise" to the occasion. It could be because of what she is wearing or perhaps to be more exact what she is not wearing.
Does she have him killed or beaten for his temerity? Or does she take the matter in hand and look after the problem personally?
You will have to read it to find out.
I enjoyed this but I want to know more of the back story and of the future. I certainly want to know more about this magic that she talks about. Issue protected by a curse? Or is it part of the protection of the Queen in this particular country?
Any chance of expanding this Cutlass?

Plot: it is really too short to have much of a plot so I will only give it a 6.
Technical: no problems at all so give this an 8.
Appeal: oh yes, I did like this. I quite enjoy tales set in this period. I think 8 would do nicely.
