A man and his wife have different dreams of what they want, leading to a breakup to start this tale. The man is the main character in the story, but her role may not be done yet.
If you have not read this author's stories yet, keep in mind that he has over 50 stories written with a well-deserved average score over 8. Very few authors can say that. His stories don't have non-stop sex. Instead, they have character development, good storylines, and many of them offer a nice wrap-up at the end. If you don't like stories like that, just don't read them. Personally, they are my preferred type of stories. They leave you smiling at times and crying at other times, as they pull you into the lives of the characters.
For plot, an outstanding 10. For technical score, an A+ (9). There were a few mistakes in this story, but less than he often has. For personal appeal, another outstanding 10.

QHML1 writes great stories, and this is one of them. Steve was a simple man. He worked in a factory, and in his spare time ran a small farm. One afternoon, on the way home from a farmer’s market, his truck had a flat tire in a bad neighborhood. While he was fixing the tire, he met an old woman who was fascinated by his leftover produce. It seems there wasn’t a good source of fresh food anywhere near her home.
One thing led to another, and Steve opened a small grocery store in that bad neighborhood to sell food to the people living in a food desert. (If you don’t know what that is, that is a place where there are no nearby stores from which to buy food or other supplies. This usually happens in urban areas where any existing stores were destroyed or closed due to one too many robberies.)
It’s easy to see where business people would be afraid to open up in that kind of a neighborhood. Steve stepped up to fill in the gap, and soon had many many people from all walks of life working for him and helping to keep him safe.
His businesses grew and grew, until he became the owner of one of the largest food store chains in the country. Along the way, he made many friends, most of whom became a surrogate family to him.
His love life wasn’t too hot, having already gone through two marriages. Saying any more would give away the rest of the story, and I don’t want to do that. Suffice it to say that Steve went through many tragedies and setbacks, but in the end he was enjoying a very enviable lifestyle.
I think you will enjoy this story, even if it is a bit long. It was quite enjoyable to read, and I recommend it highly. It did not have very many errors, grammatically or spelling or otherwise.

Damn! This is a marvelous tale. Very little descriptive sex, so if that's what you want, look elsewhere. Man loves woman, man loses woman. Life goes on. Small time white farmer breaks down in a bad neighborhood. Meets a little old black lady. Life changing event for him which leads to him changing lives of everyone he meets. Love and success follows, but so does some pain and heart break.
Sure, it's fiction, but wouldn't it be great if it wasn't.
No score on technical because I'm not qualified.
