I'm not going to say much about the story itself as that would spoil it for the reader. I will say that it is a story of vengeance, righteous violence and justice. In fact, a more vindictive person would say it didn't go far enough. But then, I think they'd have some justification for feeling that way.
This one starts really slow; I almost dropped it after a couple of chapters (after seeing the rating). Obviously, I'm glad I didn't. It starts to move around Ch. 4 and continued to accelerate right through to the final chapter. The effect of the revelations throughout the story felt like getting smacked with a sledge hammer.
Even though the author admits English is not his first language, any mistakes, grammatical or otherwise, are hard to find. No homonymic nor homophonic errors. Only a few missed words, obvious only to a grammar Nazi like myself.
Two strong thumbs up for this one and it's underrated at 7.88 (as of this review). Note that this is the first of three stories planned by the author. The first two are available on SOL with the third promised. I suggest reading the second one also. While not as powerful as this one, it has it's moments. And am eagerly awaiting the third.
