Oh my goodness. This one is going to get to you. It will worm its way into your heart until you fully believe in the words you are reading.
This story just so positive. So full of goodness. So much nourishment for your soul, heck, it should be a breakfast cereal!
There are bad people in it. Very bad people actually. But at the end of the day the bad people all ... ahh, nope, you read the story, you find out. I'm not going to tell you ;)
If this site rated stories like metals this would have been higher than gold. Platinum perhaps? You be the judge. Don't just take my word for it. Read it and let me know.
The plot? Oh MY. Yes indeedy. This one rolls you up and spits you out and along the way it has been a roller coaster ride. And easy 10.
Technical? Some Grammatical errors and some word spellings let it down. Make that a 9 1/2.
Appeal to Reviewer? All I can say is that I loved it and am thinking of reading this again. It is just got so much olde-worlde charm and goodness to it that I have trouble working out how much I like it but I know that I like it very very much.
PS: This story comes from a great author who has done a number of other great stories. Do yourselves a favour and look around his page and find something else to read too. I think you will like the stories that they write.

qhml1 is a terrific writer and I have enjoyed all of his stories. This one is also a fun read.
One of the really enjoyable things about this story is the amount of detail that is woven into the fabric of it. And the author reveals pieces with impeccable timing as the story unwinds. The characters are interesting, even the bit players, and the emotional content builds beautifully throughout. Everything builds to a satisfying conclusion. There are some typos, but I didn't find them hurting my enjoyment of the story.
I won't reveal details. Read the story. I guarantee you'll enjoy the time you spend doing so.

A veteran made a decision to buy a house and settle down after a couple of tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. What he didn't know was that the house was haunted, amongst other things. This story is a romance, with a little bit of the supernatural thrown in.
For plot, the story gets an outstanding 10. The author did a great job filing in the backstory. Even though most of the characters are not fully fleshed out, he details enough about them to make the reader fell he knows them.
For technical, an A+ (9). There are a few small mistakes in the story, but in average they are no more than 2 or 3 per chapter, and consist of common misspellings or a missed letter here and there.
For appeal, another outstanding 10. Great job by the author.
