Reviewed:
Steam still rises from my ears, as, while the circumstances were not the same, it strongly reminds me of a teacher encounter in my own life. My experience was American, in an unusual school context, and of the styles of 1964. Other than physical similarity and the teacher context, it shouldn't be triggering such a strong flashback -- yet it does. The author somehow tunnels into my brain!
The story is as realistic as is plausible: a surprise encounter that the teacher turns into a "one-off" experience. She mentions that her private sex life has not been the same since her baby came, and ended her sex life. I believe her when she said she needed this. She expressed lust, but also consideration for the young lover.
Its prose flows well. The physical description, in the second paragraph, is evocative--I have a sense of seeing Mrs. Evans.
It ends happily, even though there won't be a repetition. Both characters got positive things. Guilt did not pollute.
I'm now motivated to be writing up my own experience, admittedly as a do-over. Thank you,
