I do love me a solid romance between young adults. This story delivers just that, most excellently. (PennLady mines this vein very well. Check out all her novel-length fics.)
Shane’s a data analyst. On the surface, he looks pretty vanilla. Morgan runs a struggling SF-and-gaming store with her lesbian best friend, and has tats. On the surface, she looks nothing like vanilla. Opposites can attract, and with openness, and more than a few bumps on the road, maybe, just maybe, they can have a romance.
Okay, fine, no ‘maybe’ about it — given the genre. You don’t read romances for a suspenseful plot. You read them to spend time with a sweet and/or hot experience of building a relationship. (This one’s both sweet and hot.) When you’re in the mood for just that, here’s a good one for you — well-written, a solid story, and great characters (not just the leads). An excellent example of new adult romance. Heartily recommended.
