Brady, a fur trapper in 1850 tries for one more year in the Montana mountains. It gets interesting when he sees a woman kill a man who just killed her brother. She is now alone and Brady makes her his trapping partner. From then on they are together for the rest of their lives. First in Wyoming, and then in California. Both carry guns and use them when needed.

I love westerns! This tale is near as good as they get. No, not perfect, but nothing so egregious as to be noteworthy.
The protagonist is the guy you want to be when you grow up. Character development is satisfactory with all the main characters that appear in the tale, you get a good sense of who they really are deep inside.
No explicit descriptions of sexual escapades, so it is not a stroke story, but it is a feel good romance tale.
It's long enough to satisfy yet short enough to read in a couple of sittings with your favorite beverage.
The one whack I'll offer is that the final couple of chapters seemed to me to somewhat bereft of details and more of a story outline that is awaiting some flesh on the bones. But... you may not think that.
Overall, a great story added to the western genera here on SOL. Solid 9's across the board.
