This story has been on the site for a while now, and I read it quite a while back already.
It's set in the "Naked in School" universe. The title is a bit of a give-away. It's not very often I rate a story 10 as a complete vote. Less than I can count of the fingers of one hand. This is one of them.
Read the other complementary story "Jacob Naked in School" before you start this one. It will give you a baseline.
What can I say - other than that Jacob, and then Margot, completely expose and show up the mindless stupidity of some adults, the lack of empathy and the not-listening routinely perpetrated by people who think they're on a mission from god (this is a Blues Brothers reference, b.t.w.) and blindly think they have to follow "a program" while not bothering to turn on their critical thinking. And the ones who develop such programs (Real World reference here).
Oh, and what a *completely stupid idea* the whole NiS thing was/is in the first place as far as the Real World (tm) is concerned. Disclosure: I am a casual nudist. You might think I'm all for it ... I am also a post-grad educator/educational psychologist. Irrespective, or maybe just because of that I stand by my judgement of NiS. Read "Margot" and you'll get what I mean. BarBar has nailed it.
