Ann Douglas has crafted a charming and believable plot for a lesbian first-time adventure, with lots of gentle, loving sex and thorough exploration of bi/lesbian awakenings.
PLOT: Very good (8) - the weekend getaway, lubricating alcohol, lowering of inhibitions was well crafted.
TECHNICAL: Great (9) - excellent paragraph and story structure. I deducted two half marks. As a 3rd person narrative, it is written from Julia's POV, but there are a couple of unannounced perspective shifts to Sabrina/Brandy to explain their motivation. This could be easily solved with a "Sabrina later told her that ...", but as it stands it clangs a little. There where also a couple of cases where the same word was repeated too close together, causing me to jump out of the fantasy for a moment. ("Mark would rather I just go down on him rather than we go all the way", and I can't find the other one again).
APPEAL TO ME: Good (7) - This is subjective of course, so I'll just say how it affected ME. I enjoyed the story, especially the voyeuristic scene. My three deductions were:
: The dialog felt unnatural and flat to my ear, but then I'm Australian, so take that as you will.
: I LOVE penetration scenes, especially big cocks / tight fits. That beautiful moment of entry could have been much more deeply explored, with rippling pussy muscles rudely pushed apart and breathless surprise as it touches down on her cervix.
: I also love to read orgasm scenes. Give me more paragraphs and longer descriptions. I want to know about every single muscle spasm, every tingling nerve ending, new sensations, tears, breathlessness, squeals and animal exhalations.
VERDICT: A lovely lesbian first-time. The highlight for me was the voyeur/masturbation. Very evocative. Well done Ann.
