It seems that some authors' pages do not contain all their stories. E.g. https://storiesonline.net/s/20509/journeys-of-the-uss (Erica Olafson, Journeys of the Tigershark (Vol 9, GC 35)) cannot be found on the author's page. Maybe this is due to the title having been changed (compare the link and the title)?
Looks like the sort order is messed up.
Sort by date, and it shows up as "Erica Olafson, Journeys of the Tigershark (Vol 9, GC 35)" but I notice the index page says "(Volume 9, GC 34 )".
Interesting - sort by Title Ascending, it's not there, but Descending, it's item 21.

1. Words like 'a' and 'the' are ignored.
2. In some of the stories it is 'Eric' and in others it is 'Erica'

1. Sorting on the most significant first word. It's quite common and possibly 'automatic' if titles are saved as "Storyname, The" or "Better Storyname, A" to get a logical sorting order with default sorting.
2. Eric/Erica is correct because that's how the stories are named. Usually Eric+space should come before Eric+a because the space comes before the a in the ascii table but some sorting algorithms place the a-z + A-Z before any other characters.
I understood what you said about sorting. I was responding to PlayWithwires comment, below, to explain why the list was sorted correctly.

I thought it was just me. I tried refreshing, but no difference.
It was on her Author's page, but then went missing a few days go, even though it still shows up on the Ongoing Serials page and the Home page Stream.
It's a known problem which is discussed here before. When you first open the author page it comes with an unknown sorting that resembles ascending by title and the header arrow says it is. You have to switch to another sorting and back to get the correct ascending order by title. I do this almost automatically because of this problem.
I reported what was probably the same bug a few years ago, using Argon's stories as the example. I think he had 20 stories back then (it was divisible by 10) and - using the default sort order - some appeared twice and some not at all.
Changing the sort order definitely fixed it.
Unfortunately sorting the stories seems to be a premier feature (@zellus: category exclusion as well), it's not available for me.
Thanks to all repliers. I'll just live with it (currently the story is again visible in the author's list).
