Bug when looking at stories by Author.

Vlad_Inhaler

This is a bug I've seen before but for authors who have larger bodies of work. Looking an Omachuck's stories, https://storiesonline.net/a/omachuck with the default sort-order (Title), I see "Woody" as story number 4. Now going on to the second page, there is one Story. "Woody", occupying slot 11.
This means that a story is being suppressed. It is the one Omachuck mentioned in this blog: https://storiesonline.net/blogentry/42599

I have seen this with other authors as well, but by no means all. I assume that a pre-condition is that the list of stories has to go over multiple pages and Omachuck's 11 is the minimum needed to trigger it.

The stories are out of sequence too.

If you click on title and then title again, it puts it in the correct sequence and Woody only shows up once.

My default setting for Author Pages is date. When I clicked on the link you provided Woody only appeared once. I clicked on title heading to change the sort criteria and it only appeared once. ??????

I had a similar problem a while back. It turned out something was screwed up with the default setting in my profile. Changing it to something else and then changing in back fixed the problem.

Mine is title like the OP. It had the same problem until I clicked on title twice.

When visiting a new (to me) author with more than one page of stories, I prefer to arrange them in score order. On the theory that the higher scoring stories will appeal to me more than the lower scoring ones. I don't care where in alphabetical order the story appears. Read the gems before the zircons.

I searched for zircon and may have falsely accused it.

"DECEMBER BIRTHSTONE - ZIRCON - Amethyst Galleries

Zircon's reputation has suffered of late due to the introduction of a diamond simulant. So for the record, zircon (zirconium silicate, ZrSiO4) is NOT the same material as the artificial gem material Cubic Zirconia (zirconium oxide, ZrO2). However with that in mind, zircon has been used as a diamond simulant both for innocent ..."
