he makes the occassional comment on the Spearfishlake forum. I don't go to the forum now as it's on a forum board called ProBoards where they object to me objecting to them pushing ads at me and block access with an overlay that's almost as annoying as the ads. So I removed the link and no longer visit the forum.

I use NoScript in Firefox, and haven't seen either the ads or overlay until I disabled it to test.

I've always preferred NoScript, unfortunately, they've never allowed it within Safari, which to this day is the default Mac browser (you can now reset your default browser, but it gets reset every time you restart your system!)
P.S. This may have been subsequently fixed in a later update, but it certainly wasn't one of the predominate notifications.

Apple have always allowed switching the default browser on the mac, since it released safari 1.0. Still the case today.
If it switches back automatically on your system, then you have something wrong. That has never ever happened on my systems.
I develop using Safari mostly, but my default browser is Firefox.

Sorry, I misstated the problem. It was with iOS/iPadOS, and when they initially released it, the new assignments wouldn't stick, continually being reset. Since running a Gazillion windows (64gb system memory) is a HUGE performance hog on duplicate browsers, I stuck to Safari until they finally worked it out, and missed any notifications when they finally did.

His most recent post there was on August 19 2020. I have tried to get in contact with him since - via various channels - but without success, we have corresponded in the past.
If you look at http://www.grynenbayritpublications.com/index/contact.html (@Lazeez: this is not a link to a story) you will see that he is keeping a low profile anyway. That reference to "the Yahoo Group" dates the message, Yahoo pretty much killed Groups back in late 2019 (?).
I have seen other people trying to get in touch with him in other Forums, and no indication that anyone has had any success on that front.
On the positive side, the last time I looked for Obits there were still none.

I downloaded it from there in July 2005 and the author was also given as "Wanderer". It was probably the first story posted on that site and "Wanderer" never posted there again.
Oh, and dotB removed all of his stories from there years ago after some personal attacks in the Forum which he felt were Gina under another 'nym. I have no idea whether he was correct in that belief. As to when this happened, GWB was president and the politics at the core of the dispute were Tea Party, something dotB had no time for.
DotB also posted under K Pelle. It's a shame that authors don't designate some one to notify their readers. HINT HINT
He (has) outlived his son, and I seem to remember his son got divorced a couple of years before his heart attack. He (has) also outlived most of his friends, something which caused him a lot of pain as he went to one funeral after another.

K. Pelly and dotB are two of the names K. Pelly wrote under. If you check dotB's blog, the author stated:
"Online trolls and harsh critiques were two of the major reasons that I no longer post on this site, ..."
and signed the blog entry:
"dotB aka K Pelle"
There is no author account under the name K Pelle, and he left his dotB stories on SOL. Perhaps he never posted a story to SOL using the name K Pelle.
As mentioned above, he has a website, but he hasn't updated it since Jun 2017, which is about 3 weeks after his son's death.
