The first chapter of https://storiesonline.net/n/50797/blame-charlie was posted a couple of hours ago. I think he completed that back in 2016 but - afaik - it was only on his own site.
Does anyone know what happened here? The last time I saw anything from him was back around September 2020 on another site. Has he decided to retire and to "spread the love" here before his own site expires?
Clause #14 of the site's rules allows me to complete an author's collection of stories posted elsewhere on the internet if I see fit.

I needed to test a new posting script with a story of multiple chapters and there were none in the queue, so I picked that story.
Two birds, one stone.
Is that what's behind the new Don Lockwood story, too?
Rule 14 says talks about keeping stories "up-to-date and in sync with the versions on your own site". It says nothing about the collection, or about stories which are only posted on the author's own site.
Given that Don is also posting blog entries - and has no known "own site" - very very unlikely.

On Sept 08, dotB, an author I follow who hasn't posted a story since 2006, posts a new story, and it is sci-fi, with aliens.

That's a strange coincidence, considering that I only follow a dozen authors.
Lazeez's explanation makes it slightly different, but it is still odd.
dotB had his own site (it still exists, but I don't think he does) and posted there up until 2017. "Blame Charlie" appears to have been selected at random, although a lot of his stories there were incomplete and that one was the only standalone, multi-chapter completed story not already on SOL (the other two are Aftershock and Car 54).
