Well the universe for The World After has been created. And updates for my story "Rise" have been submitted. The story is going to evolve slowly, simply due to my EXTREMELY limited writing time. However I hope you guys enjoy chapters 2 and 3. It is a slow moving story, as the cast of characters required to create some depth to the tale will need some time to percolate, but I hope they begin to grow on you, the way their outlines have begun to grow on me.
As always your feedback is very much appreciated.
Cheers

For those of you who have expressed their interest in my upcoming story tentatively titled "Rise":
I am sorry there has been such a delay in getting it finished. I am currently working 50+ hours a week on a rotating shift. There have been 3-4 day stretches recently where I'm lucky to have 7 hours from clocking out, to having to clock back in for another day of work. Sadly, writing is not my full time job (however much I wish it could be) and bills have to be paid, so I am forced to absorb this and continue to try to press onward. I still try to find time to write,(like last night, I got a whopping SEVEN PARAGRAPHS DONE before falling asleep at my keyboard) but my current timetable might be slightly protracted.
I wanted to let you all know, I haven't given up. And I also wanted to thank everyone who has sent me feedback. Your kind words, and support has made a VERY difficult month easier to deal with. Thank you all once again.
Cheers

So, it was brought to my attention by one of my readers, that some of the aspects of Mason's inner monologues were difficult to differentiate. I was unaware that I could even use Italics here on SOL, until he made mention of it. So I took a little bit of time, and went through "Unbroken", and made the corrections he suggested. I hope it makes the story a little easier to follow. And now that I know how to do it, I will continue to do so with any future stories.
I hope this makes for a better reading experience for you all.

So... I've spent part of my down time, when not outlining, or working on my current story, looking through author blogs.
I gotta say, either my stories have escaped the notice of the trolls, and eternal pessimists. Or I may be doing something wrong. Other then some light, well intended, and very helpful, constructive criticism, I have received nothing but positive feedback from my readers. More so than I was willing to believe I was going to get in all honesty.
So, I gotta ask. Am I unique? Am I doing something different? Because I know, out there somewhere, there has to be someone willing to try and spoke my wheel, and I kind of feel like I'm missing out on the true writers experience without detractors.
Just a thought tumbling down this rabbit hole I call a mind.

While many of you have read the opening of my latest story "Rise", judging from the feedback I've gotten from it, you are all very interested in seeing where it might lead.
Well my friends... I am currently working on putting the polish on chapter 3 of the story, and no matter which way I outline the rest of it, I simply can NOT find a way to end the story of Bishop the Unbending.
This story was originally supposed to be a one off departure from my normal types of stories. Well, from some of the conversations I've had with some of my readers, I've finally come to a conclusion. Since I CAN'T see a way to end the story properly, I simply WON'T.
There are simply too many things that can be done with the setting I am creating for this story. And to ignore them after I finish with "Rise" would be a grave injustice to the characters I am creating, as well as to you.
I have decided to begin outlining other stories involving Bishop, and the cast of characters that will be given life through "Rise" and create a universe specifically for them called "The World After"
Now this isn't to say I will be writing stories strictly for that universe. My mind won't allow me to stagnate like that, and ideas don't leave me alone until I've actually tried to put them to paper. So I WILL be writing other stories, in my normal style as well. But I AM going to make "The World After" a continuing theme. I'm not sure how well these stories will be received, but I am very excited about them.
Until then my friends.
