For those of you who are demanding I just update the stories here and come back to SOL, allow me to explain again what I have explained here before.

SOL does not permit the format needed in my stories. These include footnotes, links to (non-sexual and non-infringing) material (text and photos), various fonts, margins and colors (used in reference to textual content of included emails, and SMS text conversation). I understand the nature of how this site works. It is simply not compatible with my needs. This is NOT a compliant on my part. I am only acknowledging the fact.

SOL does not permit any sexual content related to individuals younger than 14 years of age. (Some of my work here is grandfathered in but new stories of that type are not allowed.) I understand and respect the Webmasters need to adhere to the laws where he functions. This is NOT a complaint on my part. I am only acknowledging the fact.

And so, no, I cannot update the stuff that is here because the updates include the newer format requirements I have. And, no, I cannot post anything new here, for all the reasons above.

I wish it could.

I know many still read my older and uncorrected works here. I do wish I could update what is here to reflect the updated/corrected versions and post new works. Such is not the case.

So this is just a note to announce my new novel Fifteen is available in HTML, PDF, ePub, mobe, and azw3 formats on the ASSTR website under my author's site VeryWellAged.

Some folks seem to think that if a story is part of Thread #2 that they need to read Thread #1 first.

No... that is not right. Threads are not continuations but alternative realities. Number 2 happens instead of #1 because Jake gets a visit from his aged mother. His life takes a completely different trajectory.

Number 3 happens because while in #2 Jake has to make a choice of seeing one woman or avoiding her because of a text he gets. That choice spins #3 to a completely different result from the one in #2.

The Package Deal is another Thread... we don't know how Jake gets into it as it is told from the daughter of a wife Jake marries but clearly is more related to #2 and #3 than number 1.

The new story (not yet posted) is not a new thread. It belongs tied to the reality of Thread #2 alone and has nothing to do with Thread #1.

I have just completed a new story and have sent it off for thorough editing. The sad truth is that even with the best editor, I have a way of leaving errors in the story. Quick early eyes to catch errors are always appreciated.

This story is intimately connected to the Second Jake Thread. I really doubt it will make much sense if you don't have Jake #2 under your belt.

This is NOT a stroke story. There is some sex in it but only because the sex belongs there...

I know I write for a relatively small audience but if you like the characters, you will get another small bit of Jake, Joy, Jun, and Abbey.

Amazing what we both - me and my very vigilant editor - missed the first ten or so read through's. I re-read and re-edited both, Gang Aft Agley and A Package Deal in the past week. And before that I recently did the same with The Whale and just before that I re-edited Jake #1. I found mistakes in each one. It's just frustrating. When will they be error free?
