Today's chapter starts a new, and important, story arc. In the next few chapters Claire is exposed to new ideas, and begins to better understand the direction she wants to take as she continues to blossom.

A comment from a reader got me thinking about the pronunciation of some of the place names I mention in this story. I'll admit to a bit of a blind spot there due to long association.

I've just added a brief guide to the forward to help people's inner narrator get the sounds right. If I missed something that you wonder about, please let me know and I'll add it.

I've posted updated versions of chapters 1-10. No changes to the story itself, but a raft of proofreading fixes.

While writing Charley and Claire I worried a bit about suspension of disbelief. How believable would it be to have a fourteen year old looking at advanced math. I didn't need to worry!

There have been seventeen year old PhD's in math, ten year old college graduates, seventeen year old med school graduates and eighteen year old professors. Just this year a thirteen year old was admitted to medical school.

There are some really smart kids out there!

I don't plan to normally blog updates but this time it seems fitting. As far as today's chapter, this is where the story veers a bit from the most similar stories. The next two chapters will give us many of the same events from Claire's POV but after that there will be much less of that type of overlap.
