Don't speculate too much on what's going to happen with Viktor - you'll find out in Chapter 22.
Also, Harry owns 50 acres. There are 40 acres that are within the fence perimeter. So Cal doesn't need to dig tunnels or come out of a Bat-Cave somewhere else. Simply having lights aimed in someone else's eyes at night, to screw up their night vision, and taking off from a dark corner, is more than good enough.
As an easy conversion for those of you in other parts of the world: 640 acres equals 259 hectares. A section is one square mile, call it 2.6 square kilometers for ease, and is 640 acres. When you're dealing with large, open areas like we have here in the United States - that's how things were plotted out on the plat maps. That's also why, in a lot of this country, you only have to walk a mile and you'll come across a road. Don't get me wrong - there's areas where you're truly in the wilderness, but otherwise, we're a lot of one square mile grids.
Don't know if this is going up too late for posting tonight, but since one of Cal's ladies is going to be a mother, Margie wanted me to give you all a present of a bonus chapter. So, if they don't go up tonight, they should be up first thing in the morning.
I don't know how you all read them. I know that when I'm reading something of this length, SOL splits into two pages. When I'm writing them, I use a 14 point font and enlarge the screen a little, even then, so I can easily read the words my fingers type. Net result is that each Chapter is about 32 pages long, based upon my writing. I've a single file where I put all of the chapters together. It's 247,000 words, 949 pages. Just slightly smaller than Battlfield Earth - but hopefully better.
First and foremost - those of you who are British - Don't complain! It's SUPPOSED to be funny. Other than that ... I almost uploaded the wrong chapter - the one without the last weeks worth of edits. I'm REALLY hoping that this one doesn't have any errors in it.
