I can't drive 59

Well, Chapter 55 is now in the queue for Saturday, but I happened to turn 59 today. We're so close to the end of the Book Two, no bonus chapter at this point. Real life in December is rearing its ugly head as far as time for writing is concerned, due to Christmas festivities and last-minute (or, since I'm a guy, right on schedule) shopping.

I have three chapters complete on Book Three (thank you, Jim and Soronel) - so I'm actually on schedule to start posting sometime in February.

Get your programs here! Can't tell the players without a program! Seriously, though, with what's going on at the Christmas Party, I've uploaded a revised cast of characters that will take us through the end of the book.

Chapter 54 queued up for Saturday

I'm certain that everyone has been to a Christmas Party at some point in their lives. Maybe even a corporate one that turned out to be somewhat more than they were expecting.

You don't suppose that the Wackenhut Christmas Party of 1984 is going be a simple, staid, and boring party do you? Yeah, neither do I. (Yes, that actually was an evil chuckle you just heard, coming from me.)

The next chapter is in the queue for Saturday morning, just in case I get tied up in Black Friday shopping tomorrow. I was amused in looking that, if I hadn't actually posted some bonus chapters, that this one would have posted Christmas week.

Close enough for me. At least now you officially can put up the tree and do the decorations. Doing that before Halloween is just totally and completely WRONG!

Regarding safe forklift operation

Chapter 52 is in the queue for tomorrow morning. I spent more than 15 years in an auto assembly plant, driving a forklift for most of that time. When I talk about safe operation of a forklift in this chapter, I know what I'm talking about.

Oh, and if you want to really have fun, be sitting inside the trailer on your forklift when the driver pulls the trailer out. Middle of winter, so the dock lock was frozen and wouldn't work. Driver with the yard truck stayed hooked up. He thought I was done, and started driving away. I may have violated FCC regulations regarding cursing a bit using the radio.
