So I'm dealing with nerve pain here and various doctors have prescribed a smorgasbord of painkillers. Sometimes about half an hour after I take the prescribed dose I reach a crossing point where the pain goes down and there's this warm happy glow.
The muse, she likes it.
That's why there's a chapter of Community posted today and another chapter of Park This! queued up for tomorrow and yet another chapter at the 20% mark.
Anyhow, as the saying goes, "One man's pain (mine. Literally.) is another man's gain.
I sort of jumped out of my sequence this time. I usually post one chapter of one of the two active stories after one from the other.
This week I broke that. I got kind of wrapped up in Park This! and wrote two chapters back to back. Well, not really. I was flipping back and forth between chapters of both stories.
Cindy's mom shows up in Community, so I was excited about that, and I was also excited about the trio in Park This! and couldn't leave either of them alone.
I just posted Chapter 3 of Park This!. It should hit shortly. and I just sent Chapter 4 off to the editor, so that should hit in a day or two. Further, I'm at about 75% of that chapter of Community, so in a day or two it should go out.
And as always, I appreciate all the kind comments and story suggestions. You guys are great!
Never mind! The 2014 entries are closed and my stories didn't make the cut. Oh well, maybe next year.
Clitorides Awards contest is in progress and nobody remembers Melodic Redemption or Kimberly 2.0, both of which ended in 2014.
Sent a chapter off to the editor today. Should post in a couple of days.
I think I'm gonna have fun with it.
One of my readers - that's you folks - sent me a very long and well thought out email about how I should NOT have let Kimberly end. Put her on hold, maybe, but not end. Another of you did the same thing with Neighbors, saying that they want to know how things worked out with Haley and Bill.
You're killing me. **I** want to know, too.
A recurring theme in your comments is that I make characters that are likeable and alive, that one can relate to. That makes me feel good. I want to care about them. So do you.
So what's a writer to do? I'm open for suggestions.
