It seems like everyone is a bit quiet these days. But yes, I agree, life do happens…

But I think a certain someone will drop me mail, after he read the part about Charley and how Charley relates to Mai-Loan. Or should I say; how Mai-Loan relates to Charley? LOL. But that is called: “Building the character.”

Now then, if all goes well, chapter 13 will be up and available shortly. YES, the picture of the Red Bull BO-105 on the top of a loop over Lady Liberty is real! There’s a video of it on YouTube, so go check it out.

There was a little confusion to what is “waste cloth.” Well, some of you know it by the name “rag.” Here with us you get two types of waste cloth. It is the little bits and pieces of material left over after the fashion gurus made $10 000 dresses. So all the off-cuts get bundled up and sold as scrap!

Then the other type is all the yards and yards of thread left over and bundled up into a crows nest of waste. This get sold as well, so some of us can wipe our hands sometimes. Then discarding it instead of giving someone nightmares in washing the stuff.

The “waste cloth” is the picture I put into the text. The other one is just called “waste,” but I could not find a picture of that. Sorry… Next time I’ll ask my buddy at the airport to just take a photo of it with his cell phone. LOL.

Hi all!

First of all, sorry that it took a while before chapter 12 were posted. (The posting sort of caught up with the writing. LOL.) But the good news is that chapter 12 is being posted and chapter 13 is 95% done and on the way to the editors shortly.

There is a twist at the end of this chapter, that will tie in with the end of chapter 13. So, hold on, fireworks is about to cause some mayhem! (And it’s not only the Angels!)

Oh, yes! Charley, dear old Charley… but that’s for the next chapter. LOL.

Hi all!

Spring is supposed to be on 21 September, and summer on 21 December. right? Well it seems lady spring and lady summer are at odds with one another. Temperatures run in the high thirties every day and not a cloud to be seen. My air-con is working overtime. The poor cats don’t know where to go hide away. Outside the strays has disappeared during the day and inside the two are jostling for a space near the air-con.

Oh, I don’t know if I told you guys, but a new baby has taken up residence with us. Now six months old and a real terror. But the female cat, and he, has sorted out the pecking order and all is fine. You can say he is a rescue, as he was part of the stray family. Then he hurt his right eye in either a fight or bashed it against something hard.

The vet said: Two options. One: Put him down. Second Option: remove the eye as it can’t be saved. Well, you guys don’t know me. How can a little life of just five months, at that the time, just be terminated. About 5K later, he took up residence inside with us, and my red head wife now has a one-eye-pirate boy that just loves her. (Seems like I have competition…)

Well, here is chapter 11 of “To Cheat the Devil,” and there’s much happening with the new redhead secret agent trying to run the ship and came up short against Darya and Roxy. I say no more.

Hi all!

I do hope you are good and well, and healthy.

So far so good! All seems well on this side of the pond, despite what everyone else thinks. The days are heating up and now it runs around 35 Celsius. Clear skies and no wind.

With life keeping me busy, the writing goes a little slow, and I am only halfway with chapter 11. But, in the meantime, don’t let me keep you waiting, as there is much happening now. Here is chapter 10.

Hi all!
It might be an advantage to stay near an airport or even a toll-gate, as for the past couple of weeks, we did not experience any power outages during the load shedding by Eskom. Yes, I have power, BUT the Cell Towers are getting power cuts. No battery backup, because the batteries has been stolen! Grrrrrrr! (And they call South Africa a first world country!)

So at least I can drink coffee, make something to get the old tummy quiet, cut the lawn, play a game on the PC, and write. BUT no internet to communicate with the world out there.

Oh, well, At least I have power! The internet can wait a bit. So sorry if I’m late in answering your mail.

AND, you are catching up with me! Here is Chapter 9, and Chapter 10 ain’t off to the editors yet. Oh, Boy!!
