I hope you enjoy the continuing story of Pete and Georgina.

The next few chapters are mapped out but still need writing. Before that, I need to return to Djaik and Sue and the girls - I will try and write chapters in turn...

Phew! The next chapter in both stories uploaded!

That's the problem - I want to concentrate on one story to get it finished, but I can't let the other one go. My mind keeps coming back to the plots I have worked out.

And I have two more in the wings. One is set in the Peninsula War, somewhere around 1808, and the other is my take on a modern-day vampire tale set in a nameless US city. I have even written half of the first chapter of the latter, just to see how it looks.

So more to come...

But I'll try and get both the current ones at least to the end of these books first.

I am trying something new. It's a story I have had in mind for some time now and I finally sat down and wrote it - or at least the start of it.
Please let me know what you think of A Beautiful Day for Music. This chapter is all that's written so far, so your enthusiasm (or lack of it) will encourage/discourage me.
And for Unremarkable fans, I have three more chapters written but want to finish the book before I post to keep the pauses between postings down. So please bear with me.

A few readers have asked why I have added Sally to Jake's family so soon after he married Grey Cloud.

The truth is that, although I always intended there to be another woman in the group, I also hadn't expected it to happen so quickly. It would have been another nine months or so, and I even knew the scenario in which they would meet.

But, as I am finding with these stories, Sally rather wrote herself in. Blackshaw was going to pay Jake and then the three of them would leave for home. But Pete Blackshaw didn't take it that way, there was a shoot-out and then Sally came along. It was all quite unexpected, for me as much as anyone else.
