Well, chapter 5 is up, and I'm really enjoying writing this story. It sounds like people are enjoying reading it too - so that's a bonus!

I have had favourable comments about the English vs Western question, so I will now draw a line under that and get on with it as it is.

I have even had people make suggestions for the story. That's great, but I must tell you that the basic outline of the story is set for many chapters to come. However, small details can always change.

So keep on reading, keep on voting, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

So far I have had 36 replies, 35 of them positive - so thanks to all my readers.

The one wanted more sex (some will come in a while), and one other suggested that I should write in American rather than English. The snag with that is I am English, so if I try and write in American I will slip up sometime and be inconsistent. Does it actually bother anyone?

As a new writer I am always happy to have constructive comments. Have I put in too much detail, or not enough? Are my historical facts correct (though this is fiction, not a true history)?

The story moves on. There was a bit of a delay as work took up some time, but now I am on with chapter 4 so it's all good so far.

Chapter 3 is waiting to be posted.

I enjoyed writing the second chapter. I tried to convey the feeling of confusion and hurt that a girl might feel waking up after such an experience.
It's difficult as I'm male and never experienced such a thing myself. Still, I suppose that's what fiction writers have to do.
How do you feel I did with it?

Well, I took the plunge and posted chapter one of An Unremarkable Day.
The story is one that's been in my mind for a while, but I thought I'd finally put pen to paper (or rather finger to keyboard) and see how it turned out.
Thank you to everyone who emailed me already with your words of encouragement. Now I just have to write chapter two!
Posting will be eratic, as fast as I write it up I will put it on here. But other things take up my time as well, so please bear with me.
