New Feedback System on SOL

Posted at

SOL is changing its feedback system. As of June 3rd, 2017 the new feedback system will go into effect.

The new system is an internal messaging system. Your feedback messages to me and other authors will be available on-site. The replies I send back will be available to you on-site.

This means we will all need to access the SOL website to read the internal messages.

The Webmaster will be providing details of the new system.

For those of you who wish to contact me directly by email, my email address is shinerdrinker001@gmail.com. I will respond via email.

The idea seems fun and I guess we will call for the removal of Laz's head or we will be kissing his feet. I have a feeling we may need to go heavy on the lip balm.

But I'll be sharpening my axe just in case.

P.S. I know I am late on the next chapter but I am working on it. I will give this hint though... read up on the adventure's of Fat Tim. That way you will have an idea of where we are in his story. I know I had to.

Psst... you gotta hear this.

The next chapter of Mayhem in a Pill is right now going through a final reading. When I get it back, I will do my final check and then post it to SOL.

I actually skipped an entire month. I'd like to blame the wait on my muse running away or fucking off to Tahiti. But I can't do that. I also cannot blame it on some sort of block on new ideas. But the real reason you had to wait so long for a new chapter is simple. I'm lazy.

If I wasn't so lazy, I would have written a hell of a lot more that what I have so far. And by now I believe I could be doing this for real... as in being paid a better than living wage to write stories about someone reliving their past with the some sort of key to change your life. Hopefully in a positive way, of course.

So. I guess that is something I need to work on. Or maybe not. I can always procrastinate about it tomorrow. Or not. I am lazy.

New chapter coming soon!

Crap. Gotta tell him someway.

I just realized I spent the entire night re-reading Refusenik's Island Mine for the umpteenth time. It is still as much fun as the first time I read it.

Now I remember reading about some folks wanting a second story to follow up on what happens next. I can understand the feeling of wanting more from the story. Does the AI Chief follow Waylon's orders and visit Arman in Tahiti and bond with the man. Or does he just watch over the family and protect him, like his mother believed the island did for her. Will newly promoted Admiral Arnold ever have an opportunity to speak with Waylon while he is on Mars? Or maybe even does Waylon ever speak with humans again?

Many questions. But do you really want a sequel for a nearly perfect story. It is a question I end up contemplating every time I finish re-reading the story. I still don't really have an answer, but then again, I smile and realize I can be happy with just the one story.

Thanks Refusenik. From the bottom of my heart, I can only give one compliment. I wish I had written this story.

I wanted to send this to the writer exclusively but I'll bet he got tired of all the emails from people begging him for a new story! So, I'll just put it here and maybe... one day... he'll read it.

Whoa, talk about being a lil' late...

I was working on the next chapter of Mayhem when I realized I passed the normal amount of time for an update long ago.

Sorry.

I ran into another one of those "well, that sucked" first drafts of the next chapter. After thinking it over for a couple of days, I trashed it and decided to start over. Well, I didn't trash it, I just re-saved it and labeled it "Shitty Version 1.0."

This of course forced back the deadline for an update upsetting the known universe and setting us all on a truly epic and fantastical death. I am usually better at letting y'all know what is going on but unfortunately this time, I haven't been keeping y'all in the loop.

Again... sorry.

So back to the drawing board. But that was a couple of days after I was supposed to have posted the next chapter.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

I'm also running into trouble because it is also the first try at the erotica portion of the story. The awkwardness of the scene almost matched the awkwardness of my first sexual experience. She had braces and 'manscapping' was not practiced at the time. Sure as hell has been practiced since I can tell you.

Memories.

But I digress...

I restarted the chapter and it is not yet ready for even sending to my editors. For that I'm also sorry.

But to my scores of fans, I ain't given up yet. In fact, I started a new preliminary outline for a new story. But I think I'll finish this one first, or at the very least get to a stopping point. Maybe take a page from GYounger's book and finish at the end of freshman year. But surely promise a Sophomore year coming quickly down the pipe. Yeah... I like that idea. But alas we still have a ways to go.

I think I'll go ahead and blame it all on the end of football season.

As usual I had a difficult time coping with reestablishing myself into the regular world.

Luckily the NFL Draft is right around the corner. So I have begun preparations for this years selection process and my of course watching EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF COVERAGE.

Yes, I'll have two 50" TVs watching with one tuned to ESPN and the other on NFL Network. But no I don't have a problem.

I'll try to get the next chapter of Mayhem in a Pill, out as soon as I can but the author kindly requests your patience as he tries to forget the feeling of quickly ripped out pubic hair caught in her braces cause she thought she heard someone coming into the theater.

And if you're now having trouble sitting comfortably... sorry.

WOW!!! Guess who's back...

Sorry to get hopes up but I'm not ready to post the next chapter just yet. But rest assured I will be writing this weekend. And I have a few football games saved on the DVR to keep me in the game mode.

But I find myself writing to cheer for the unexpected return of Magi and his story "A Young Man's Story." I found myself re-reading a few of the last chapters just to get myself back up to speed on the story. Hopefully this means Magi will be granting us new chapters on a more regular basis.

If you have never read "A Young Man's Story," then clear the weekend calendar and go for it. You will enjoy yourself.

Now if we could just get Cold Creek posting... .
