First off I would just like to thank those who have provided input on my story. The vast majority of it has been good which is fantastic as a first time author. That being said I've obviously noticed how life causes me to have gaps in my ability to continue the story. As someone who also reads stories here I know that same thing bothers me, getting into a story and then having to wait long periods for the next update. So what I am going to do is continue writing but not post additional chapters until I either have numerous chapters or have completed the story altogether. Hopefully this will be a better outcome for you the reader and also a reassurance that the story will be finished. Thank you for your patience and I hope you will enjoy what is still to come.

I was asked by one of my readers if I would like any input/corrections. The answer to that is a definite yes. I have just resubmitted chapter 5 after a correction where I crossed names of characters up. I'm not perfect and am definitely not an English major (or ever was, for that matter). I'm going to make mistakes, I know this. I don't get offended if they are pointed out. In fact, I appreciate it since it allows me to go back and fix them so that future readers don't see the same problem.
As with everyone, I'm obviously not perfect. Had a typo pointed out to me that I'd missed in not just my initial posting but my follow up edit as well. Sounds like I may need to do more of my editing when it's not before bed time. I fixed the error (chapter 4) and have resubmitted that chapter. I do apologize for any of my errors like that, but hopefully they won't distract too much from the enjoyment you get from the story as a whole.
Nice thing about editing, is it takes less time then writing. I've so far gotten chapters 1-4 edited and reposted to the queue. Again, as I stated in my previous blog this is just an editing clean up for those chapters that need it, not a change to the story in any way. So if you've already read them don't feel like you need to go back and read them again, you won't be missing anything.
Over the next day or two I am going to be reposting a good portion of the story's early chapters. For those of you who may not have started reading it, you'll get the benefit of things being a little more cleaned up from continuity or grammatical errors I had initially. The changes aren't going to change the story in any way, just clean it up and make it an easier read. So for those of you who are up to date with the story, you won't be missing anything if you don't go back to re-read, the story will just flow better. In retrospect hopefully this also means that my future chapters will be better as a whole, too. We'll have to see how that goes, though. Hopefully I can do the updates within the next day, then start on chapter 17 after that. I'd like to think they won't take too long, since I'm just tweaking things.
