As you may have guessed, given my last blog entry, I couldn't wait any longer and as of today will post my new story, 'The Black Rabbit'. What can I say, curiosity and greed beat patience any day.
Well, there is no harm done here. If you don't want to risk reading an unfinished story, wait until it's finished in a few more months. If you start reading now, thank you for your undeserved trust in me. I'll do my best to finish the story and this time within an acceptable time frame. So far, the prologue and thirteen chapters are written, edited, and proofread. The planned postings of two new chapters a week reflect the time I currently need to write them, and I don't foresee any difficulties keeping it up until the story is finished.
A few remarks about 'The Black Rabbit', especially about the story coding:
I applied the 'Some Sex' tag to the story, not so much because there is less sex compared to my last story, maybe there is a bit less, but I didn't count words and calculated it. How much is 'Much Sex' or 'Some Sex' anyway? I choose the 'Some Sex' tag mainly to ward off the assumption that sex is the focus of the story. I don't write stories with a bit of plot as interludes to a string of sex scenes. If your main interest in a story is sex, my stories will most probably disappoint you. However, if explicit descriptions of sex do repulse you, I strongly advise you to read something else as well, because I also don't write gratuitous sex scenes and skipping them mutilates the story.
Furthermore, I applied every sexual content tag to the story I deemed squick-worthy, but I didn't tag sexual activities without any special importance to the story. I'd look at it as false advertisement, rather than the attempt of a fair warning. I apologize to everyone who generally has no trouble reading sex scenes but feels revolted reading about 'Oral Sex'.
Today, I submitted the prologue and first two chapters of the 'The Black Rabbit'. At first, I only wanted to post the prologue and first chapter and not enable voting until I posted the second chapter. I decided against it because the main story starts with chapter 2 and I want to give you a better insight into the story right from the start. I also activated the voting and the story score will probably suffer from the measly attacks of the 1-Bombers but I trust it will recover soon enough.
However, from now on I'll add single chapters two times a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
I hope you'll enjoy the new story and am looking forward to your feedback and comments.

Almost two months since I finished 'Darkness and Light' and I'm 46k words deep into my new story. That means it's about halfway done and I'm quite happy with it so far. My new editor, Kenn Ghannon, does a marvelous job improving the readability and flow of my writing. Even my usually taciturn proofreader, Bigbillh, voiced his approval.
At the moment I regret my decision to not post the new story before it's finished. I'm getting antsy for some feedback from you readers. It was always a great motivation for me when writing my previous story and I miss it, dearly.
You'll see which wins out in the end, mature patience or eager curiosity and untamed greed. Place your bets!

I just submited the last chapter of 'Darkness and Light'. It's done, finally!
I hope to be back soon with a new story.
Until then, have fun!
Sincerely,

I never liked the title of the second part of my story, 'Family Business'. It was a working title when I started to write the story and all the details were still blurry in my mind. Now that this book is approaching its end, I renamed it 'Darkness and Light'. I think it's more fitting, more appropriate for a fantasy story, and most importantly, I like it. I hope it won't create too much confusion.
Another reason is that there are way too many stories out there with that title, and I wrote none of them!
Sincerely,
Robberhands
I am back. Shamefaced and very sorry for the delay, but that is what you get when you read stories from people who write for fun. Anyhow, I'll FINALLY finish Family Business and probably will soon post another story.
My problem is, I really would like some help with editing and proof reading. Of course I lost my previous editors, Bigbillh and Chipster82. I don't know if they are still around, because I also lost their mail address. Such is the life of a slob!
So if anyone would like the most honorable, but sadly unpaid and undervalued job of editing or proofreading, please let me know.
If none steps forward you'll just have to suffer my grammar and spelling mistakes and from all the complaints I got in the past, it seems you don't like to suffer.
RB
P.S.: Many thanks for all the mails you sent, pleading, demanding and encouraging me to continue the story.
