1: A Master's Ring by ElSol My favorite author on SOL. I love all of his stories, this one the most. I hope one day he'll continue it. The cruel bastard even said so last year.
Storyline and plot are deeper than in his new stories. That's not to put those down - I love them, too - it's to explain why this one is still the story I like the most. His writing style and humor are exactly my taste - and the sex-scenes are as well. There really isn't anything I could complain about...aside, it being incomplete.
2: Zombies, Werewolves, Vampires, and Other Improbable Things by ElSol Another fantastic tale. I could list all of ElSol's stories as my favorites. That would be a boring list, though. I'll point out this second story because it's the one I have read most often, even though it's a pretty new story. I can read it over and over and still have to laugh about the dark humor and the crazy setup. Madness becoming the only sane choice to survive in a world gone to shit. A perfect delight. The sex, as always, hot as hell, but that's of course a matter of personal taste.
3: Sea King by colt45 A great fantasy story. It even has a worthy sequel in “Shasta's Tale” and a continuation in “Quest for Knowledge”. The characters have depth, everyone their own quirks and agendas. The storyline is very carefully thought out, imaginative and original. I can't think of any reason to complain, even if I would try to do so. If I compare it to ElSol's stories I'd say Colt45 tale is more gentle, with softer characters, and more romantic. That isn't a bad or good thing in itself, just a difference. Well, what can I say, I really enjoyed reading it.
4: An Ordinary Teenage Sex Life by bluedragon Bluedragon's series, about the comming of age of a young teenage boy through school and college is an other favorite of mine on SOL.
His characters are strong and the story captivating. Bluedragon is doubtless a master in driving a plot through emotional highs and lows. I've to admit it's sometimes a bit too much for my taste - but that's just me.
I can't complain about his story telling but I would love to strangle his characters. They sometimes piss me off to no end. So much so, that my enjoyment in reading this tale suffers. Anyhow, it is a great read, even more if you can keep your distance and don't identify with the main protagonist too closely...I guess - sadly I can't.
