Today I discovered that I had the same story on my computer under two names. Not sure how that happened. A Rose by Any Other Name was the title posted on SOL. However, I had been doing changes to the master files of what I called Hell's Christmas Party. Fixing the problem was about the same amount of effort for the site moderators, so I changed the site's story title to Hell's Christmas Party.

Over the past few days, I discovered that I had updated a number of story files to correct errors and forgot to post the files. I am almost finished with posting the revised files and created a version control log to help me track of the version of each story's chapters to ensure the latest version is posted. The changes to these files were mostly correction of typos and other grammatical errors without change to the storylines.

Yesterday, I finished reviewing Chapters 13 and 14 and uploaded my revised chapters to SOL. I made one mistake while doing so. I forgot that due to the manner in which I uploaded the chapters, they would be posted immediately. So enjoy the posted chapters.

I will revise my scheduled posting dates and post Chapter 15 on Tuesday with the remaining chapters at weekly intervals.

Chapters 16-19 are a subplot that will set the stage for further changes in the life of Ambassador Doug Smith.

I've been making good progress on Time Scope 3, but needed a break. I knew there were a number of grammatical errors in the first story in the Opening Earth series, so I went back to review and fix my errors. That took a while, but it was well worth the time. There were far more errors than I expected, and I added and modified some content in the process. The content I added and modified didn't make a significant difference in the story line. I uploaded the revised chapters today and they are now posted, if you wish to reread that part of the story.

Should you reread the story? It wouldn't hurt for I feel it is much better than it was, but spending the time to do so may not be worth the effort unless you wish to remind yourself of the story's content. There were a number of scenes that I had forgotten writing. A few of those scenes support the scenes I wrote in Part 3. I also found a few items that need to be addressed in Part 4 when I write it.

During the coming weeks, I will be revising Part 2 of the story, and I'll let you know when the changes to that part are uploaded. Once that is done, I will return to Time Scope.

I posted the final chapter of The Footlocker on Tuesday. I thank all of my readers for taking the time to read the story. Especially those who took the time to send me Feedback.

Before I started posting the story, I was concerned with how it would be accepted for some of the content could be construed as me supporting the Nazi regime. That is not my personal position; but I can see how people might have that opinion for I did not blame the German people for being taken in by a charismatic speaker.

Next Tuesday, I will begin posting Part 3 of Opening Earth. As usual, I will post one chapter a week on Tuesdays and there are a total of 19 chapters.

I finished writing Opening Earth 3 and my pre-edit proof read. The unedited files are with my editor. After they come back, I will review and incorporate the edits. Then I will let the story sit for a short while so my memory is not fresh as to the content. By the time I finish my last proof reading, the last chapter of The Footlocker should be due to post. I will start posting OE3 the following Tuesday at intervals of 1 chapter/week on Tuesdays. This Part consists of the Introduction and 19 chapters.

The feedback I received from The Footlocker has been mostly positive. A couple of people were upset because they felt I thought the Nazis weren't villains. For the record, I believe the Nazi Party of the war years was an atrocious organization. The political party that became the Nazi Party was formed around 1920. It was just one of many German political parties formed at that time in response to the conditions resulting from the Treaty of Versailles. The Germans who joined those parties were typical of most Europeans. They had their likes and dislikes, but they weren't the evil beings that made up the Nazi Party of the 1940s. Enough said on that point.

I've started work on Time Scope Part 3. The first thing I did was reread Part 1 and Part 2 of Time Scope, and made a few changes. The changes are mostly minor edits and a couple of minor additions. It will be several weeks before I post the updated chapters. The changes aren't significant enough to warrant your rereading those Parts. I had forgotten portions of the story, so you may wish to reread it to refresh your memory of the story when I start posting Part 3.

I fixed one error in the plot. Think about the scene where Alicia receives a phone call about the check for the Power Ball ticket being ready for pick up. Jeb submitted the ticket so the Lottery Office would have called him, not Alicia - Opps, but it was an easy fix. I substituted Jeb for Alicia and changed subsequent references to him.
