Sorry for the delay (nothing new!).

Chapters 1-3 and the Prologue are in the process of being reposted with major additions. All of them should be available withing the next few hours - some already are.

Nothing has changed as far as the plot is concerned. The additions focus solely on "filling in" the things that would've occurred during this time period (first six months of the story) if they had been written properly. This is no fault to KK (or even myself) as neither of us were planning to include all the characters that ended up in the story.

All of the remaining chapters have been edited to one degree or another. Most of it is just fixing grammatical errors. However, some involve changes that were needed because of characters being introduced in the revised chapters 1-3 instead of much later in the story (e.g. Mrs Thomas). Nick and I are in the process of finalizing all those edits and I'll be posting them as we do, beginning with chapter 4 and so on. So new readers may run across some awkward moments in the interim.

The revised chapter 1 is finished. Chapter 2 and 3 are likely a week away. I may go ahead and post chapter 1 early next week. I'll update again this weekend.

My editor, Nick, and I are getting close to completing the "filling in" of the first three chapters which cover the first eight months of the thirteen month "first book". I'm hoping to call it a wrap this week.

In the process of working with the early chapters, practically every other chapter has also been edited again, with some undergoing some minor changes/additions due to the overhaul of the first three. This mainly involves many character introductions that have been moved to an earlier chapter. But, we also found some minor continuity and grammatical errors that have been fixed as well.

My goal is to repost ALL of the existing chapters in about two weeks, and a NEW chapter by the end of November. Then hopefully I will get back to a more routine posting pattern of one chapter approximately every month.

Too many characters weren't introduced into the story during those chapters that should've been. A number of events that would've occurred during that time period have been added. We're in the process of finishing that up now, and I've been working on the next few new chapters as well.

I still don't have a date to give for when anything will be ready to post. My goal is to finish editing the existing chapters over the upcoming weeks and repost them, and then POSSIBLY post a new chapter by early November.

I appreciate your kind words over the past months. I'm feeling great and enjoying getting back to writing. I hope you'll enjoy the fruits of it.

Quick note to let everyone know that I'm still alive and writing. I had a health scare last year that completely put me off any mood for writing. I'm working with Nick, my editor, to continue "Melissa's Secrets". At this point, I don't have a timeline for posting new chapters.

During this time, I'm reviewing the early chapters which cover the first eight months of the story. I've always felt I neglected this time period, especially fleshing out some of the characters which play important roles during the later chapters of Book 1. I will likely post updated chapters related to that before any new chapters.

I hate that I had to set the story aside for so long, but I hope the upcoming chapters will be worth the wait.
