In case you haven't noticed, Chapter 37 of The Bitch was posted a bit early. It was ready to go last night, so I put it up. It is the longest chapter so far, taking that crown from Chapter 20.

I love the main characters of this story. But I have to say that I really enjoy creating the secondary characters. This chapter was a lot of fun to write, and I hope it's fun to read as well. Stay tuned for the next installment, which will be ready for next weekend. It's about half written now.

In case anyone was wondering, the next chapter of The Bitch is almost finished, and will be ready for posting on schedule on Sunday.

This chapter is slightly longer than the ones I've posted recently, but I needed to get to a natural breaking point, so I just kept going.

Chapter 36 of The Bitch is finished and ready for posting tomorrow.

I've also continued the process of reposting the story, chapter by chapter, to bring the version online up to date with a few minor changes and to correct some typos etc.

The story passed a milestone of sorts this week. The file in which I write it has now hit page 300 - and the story is closing in on 140,000 words.

Some of you have asked about my plans for this story and the characters that you have come to love almost as much as I do. Let me reassure you that there is indeed a plan! I intend this story to go until John and Cheryl celebrate Christmas. That will happen sometime within the next 15 chapters or so, hopefully around Christmas itself.

At that point, the story titled The Bitch will come to an end. But the saga of Cheryl and John (and Megan and Jamie and Julie and Ian and some characters you haven't met yet) will continue with a new story that will take us through the winter term at school. No, I don't know when that story will start to appear, but I suspect it will be after the next sequel to It Started With Christmas comes out. (And yes, I am already writing away on that story - but you won't start to see it on SOL until it's nearly done.)

Chapter 36 of The Bitch is nearly done and will be posted on Sunday. It is a plot chapter - keeping the story moving along. But the next chapter, which will be out a week and a half from now, is a fun chapter.

The newest chapter of The Bitch was submitted late last night and is up on the site.

John and Cheryl have now met each others' families. And John's had a chance to play with Cheryl in her childhood bedroom, just like she had a chance to play with him in his.
