I don't often look at the top lists tab on the SOL page. But I wandered over there this morning, looking for some good new stories for weekend reading that I might have missed when they were posted.

And I was surprised to discover that The Bitch is currently number 10 on the Ongoing Serials Top Downloads list, and It Started With Christmas is currently number 6 on the Complete Stories Recent Top Serials list.

I write the stories that I tell to myself, the stories that I like to read. I started sharing them on this site because it was fun to have a place where I could see them in print. But it's great to know that there are other people besides me who enjoy my writing.

Thanks to all those whose downloads and scores have contributed to sending me off on a Friday morning with a smile on my face.

For someone like me, who struggles with perfectionism, publishing stories on a site where I can constantly edit and revise is both a blessing and a curse.

It's a blessing, because I can always fix mistakes when I see them, or make small plot changes. It's a curse, because I can always fix mistakes when I see them, or make small plot changes.

I've just resubmitted Chapter 32, with a couple of small typos fixed. I've also resubmitted Chapter 1, with a few minor wording changes.

Over the next few weeks I will be rereading and reposting the whole story. I'm not changing anything huge - there will be no plot modifications, for example. But I have found a couple of missing words, and I've changed a few minor details over the last few months.

Thanks to all those who've let me know how much they are enjoying the story and the characters. More is coming - the next chapter is half written, and will be posted as soon as it is finished off.

The next chapter of The Bitch is now in the queue for posting.

I've been on vacation. It's been a blast. Lots of baseball, craft beer, and pretty girls in short shorts and tank tops and bikinis to ogle. Oh, and family and friends, of course. (And some of them were in short shorts and tank tops and bikinis too ...)

I have been doing some writing, and while progress is slower than I would like, the next chapter of The Bitch will be posted this weekend.

As promised on Friday (see my last blog entry), the final chapter of It Started With Christmas is now in the queue for posting.

But don't worry. The story of Jessica and Katelyn and Alex will continue. I have already started to write the next installment, but I will not be posting any of it until it is mostly done. I can't promise you a publication date yet, but I'll keep you posted on my progress!

In the meantime, I will continue to add chapters to my other unfinished story, The Bitch, as they are written. (The next chapter of that story is in fact done, and will be posted next weekend.)
