So, for the first time since I began weekly postings, I've run into complications this week. There's been a lot of work to be done and a lot of other stuff going on in my world, and my writing time has been curtailed. Chapter 42 of The Bitch is underway but nowhere near done, and I am not sure if I will get it done over the next two days or not. I'm hopeful, but not confident.

I'll keep you posted - and if it is not ready for Sunday, it will go up as soon as it is ready.

Cross your fingers, say a prayer - and if all else fails, be patient, please.

Chapter 41 of The Bitch is finished, and just needs final proofreading. It will be posted on the weekend.

The title of this next chapter is "Difficult Conversations", because it features some, well, difficult conversations.

For those of us who live in Canada, it's Thanksgiving weekend.

So as I smell the pumpkin pies cooling, and plan dinner for tomorrow, a quick note of thanks from me to all of you.

I'm grateful for the experience of writing and sharing my stories on this site. And I'm grateful for those who read them. And I am especially grateful for those who keep this site going - especially when perfectionists and control freaks like me insist on resubmitting chapters four or five or six times.

And I guess that comes not just from me, but from John and Cheryl and Megan and the gang, and from Alex and Jessica and Katelyn, and from Ally and Rob too.

Happy Thanksgiving! May all your turkeys be on your plate!

Thanks to those who continue to read this story and love its characters. I have a general plan of where the narrative is going, but sometimes scenes appear out of nowhere as I'm typing. This chapter has a couple of those scenes in it. We also meet a character that we haven't met before, though we've heard her name a few times, and in some ways, though she is a minor character, you could say that this story could never have happened without her ...
