Code Monkey chapter 21 was just posted to SOL. Thanks to all the proofreaders helping me make this a better story.

Next Chapter

I'll be sending the next chapter of Flight of the Code Monkey to my final proofreader sometime later in the p.m. today. He is usually very quick, barring any life responsibilities getting in the way. It is outdoor festival season, so I am busy with shows and don't have as much time as I'd like to devote to writing. I'll still think that once every month post will be the schedule, so don't worry. I'm 58 pages into chapter 25 and that will be 60 to 65 pages. Chapter 26 will be started soon.

Thanks for all the support and emails. And thank you to the guys who help me with this effort by proofreading and being beta readers.

Have good reads this summer.

Story work and recharging the Muse

Posted at Updated:

The past ten days or so I've been revising my existing plot lines to take into account the wonderful surprises that have appeared in the last four chapters that have yet to be posted or completely proofed. I've been taking care of some Life chores, and I've been enjoying other peoples' content, while creating a bit more of my own. I hope everyone is enjoying Flight of the Code Monkey. There is a lot more to come.

Once again, I want to stress that I will keep a four to five chapter buffer between the chapter I am currently writing, Chapter 25, and the last chapter posted to SOL. This buffer allows me to go back to chapters not yet posted and make changes, additions, and corrections made necessary by all the surprises that come up as I follow my existing plot outlines, and by mistakes caught by my beta readers, and talks I have with my 94-year-old mother and her sisters about growing up during the Great Depression and slaughtering farm animals to feed themselves.

Thank you

I want to say thank you to Neil, Gregory, and Thorsten for being so generous so quickly. I hope you continue to find the read worth it.

Writing

I spend a lot of time researching, writing, and trying to maintain the continuity of Code Monkey. I've received more than a few emails from readers who tell me they would like to contribute. Now those of you who want to do so can go to PayPal and send contributions to:

thank you.
