Okay, the latest chapter is off for the final proof as of 1:20 pm today. I still need to mow the lawn.

Today I will spruce up chapter 22 and send it off to my last proofreader. And I will mow the lawn.

Sometimes I just want to submerge in words and a story that takes me out of my everyday so completely that oxygen is all I need to have supplied by the real world, along with my wifi-connected laptop. Well, and a cup of great coffee.

Okay, and a bathroom somewhere close by.

I hope that The Flight of the Code Monkey is that type of story for each of you reading the tale. Sometimes it is work, but mostly it is a great joy to write. While it is easier to consume content than to create it; the imagination is a muscle--exercise.

I want to thank all the generous readers who have been sending donations. I am humbled.

All kinds of real life crap is coming up through the middle of July and perhaps later. I am trying to write as much as I can on chapter 26 in the mean time. The next chapter will be posted at the somewhat normal schedule. However, it is possible that the chapter might not be the usual four or five pages long--say three pages. If I can get all the extra crap out of the way sooner, this might not be an issue. However, some of the life stuff is house maintenance that is going to take some time and concentrated effort.

But, that's life.

I want to thank everyone who was kind enough to donate to my PayPal account. The response is amazing. Also, I want to thank all you readers who take the time to email me with the mistakes you catch. I finished my after-post read and, along with the readers catches, I found a few on my own. I also fixed a few awkward sentences. I just reposted the chapter so the next readers will benefit with a better read.
