Great response. Got all the info needed. Fantastic that the SOL community can help in other ways. Pat on the back guys.
An FB group "Off-Grid living" Has a person building in Maine who is asking if he has enough concrete pads - at 8' spacing. I'm in New Zealand and our building codes are for earthquake resistance. Specifically I'd like to know if 1>he should dig out for his foundation piles as he just has them sitting on the earth level and 2> if 6"x6"x16' bearers would be ok on 8' foundation piers and 3> 16'x32' building we would put 3 lines of beaers along the 32' and have joists running the 16' - comment. I'm trying to help this guy who appears to be a beginner at building.
Many thanks to anyone who can take 5 minutes away from stories to help this guy or point him in the right direction.
Many, many thanks for the 141 out of 153 that told me my lost story is Recluse and Ghost by DualWriter.
Among all the writers I have bookmarked I am so enthralled with his Florida Friends that I forgot he wrote other stories so hadn't checked his listings.
Now I'll have to check all my other bookmarks and see what other stories I'll enjoy rereading.
Once again, many thanks to the helpful SOL community.
I have no problem with unfinishd stories.
For me, because I am trying to improve my writing I look at the scores and the feedback. Basically if there are low scores and only a few positive comments then I feel maybe I missed my target and that story isn't worth persuing.
When I am commenting I try to praise what is done well and point out if there are areass to improve.
Is there a way to display an authors listings by story size?
I prefer longer tales and sorting that way would help.
UPDATE: It seems the column headings SHOULD be underlined which indicates sortable. Mine aren't underlined.
