I got a lesson on stupidity the other day. I placed my cup of tea on top of the speaker without checking it was properly seated, and it toppled off. My keyboard and mouse got splashed with hot tea, resulting in keyboard failure. Without the keybosrd I couldn't fully start my computer.
This morning I visited our local Argos shop and spent twenty pounds GB on a new wireless keyboard and mouse. Fortunately set-up was simple, and I am up and running again.
So beware where you place your cup of tea or coffee!
I had a hiccup with chapters 36 and 37, so they are currently being adjusted for re-posting. I expect to post the amended 36 first and next day 37, and the day after, 38.
With the ending of the Nowhere Man saga, I shall start posting my new story, which is called ‘Posting in Time’ which begins with becoming a temporary postman up to Christmas, and based on my own experience as a 17-year-old just finishing High School. It is set in Scotland around 1960/61, where I worked in the seaside resort of Gourock, next door to my home town of Greenock on the River Clyde.
The story swiftly diverges from reality and becomes more interesting in unexpected happenings, but you may pick up some transport history on the way, for Greenock at that period was the UK terminus of the regular transatlantic liners, and we still had steam trains on the local rail lines to Glasgow.
Atlast I am ready to post Book Three, the final part of Nowhere Man.
I have been working on a new story, one that is completely different from this and nothing like my Personalia stories either!
I seem to have lost a paragraph or two between chapter 25 and chapter 26. I will do a bit of rewriting and re-post Chapter 26 in a day or so.
Apologies to those who told me (or were about to tell me) of this discontinuity.
