So.

Here we are.

It's been an up and down (mostly down) couple years since I've last been able to work. The stress of having no money coming in for TWO YEARS (over that really when you consider the time I was on leave from work) really took it's toll. Family helped, but that did nothing for my mental state.

That changed today. It's not over, but the light at the end of the tunnel is growing stronger, and I'm 99% sure it's not a train. I had my disability hearing and the judge said he was going to enter a judgement of "fully favorable", meaning he agreed that A) I am unable to work full-time, and B) I haven't been able to work full time for two years.

It will allow me to pay my family back from my disability reward, and more important (at least to my long-suffering reader), it is a 9000 pound weight off my shoulders. I won't guarantee it will bring the Muse back to stay, but I'm Star Wars right now. Especially Episode 4. (or the first one, if you're counting chronologically)

I hope everyone out there is safe from the effects of Coronavirus. I know some of my online friends, who know someone who's contracted the virus (and sadly, in a couple cases, has passed from the virus). COVID-19 is a bitch.

FTMD's next two chapters are being worked on simultaneously. One from Alex and Melissa's POV and one from Mary's. I don't yet have an eta for them, but I'm pretty sure it will be out to the pre-reader by this weekend's end.

Good news all, my pre-reader had plenty of time on his hands (I guess we all do these days), and got it back to me. It's in the queue

I was up until 6 or 7 this morning, but I used the time productively, writing a first draft for Chapter 15. It's a bit different, it's from the point of view of a person who believes "Nice people do not make history. Nice people write histories deploring the awful people who actually MAKE history."

The character is an asshole (my nicknames for him when I was rewriting the storybook was "That asshole" and "The Fat toad"). And it indicates that things are ramping up.

Just like my writing, now that I think about it.

Well, at least a mini-update. Wanted to get this posted as soon as possible, so I'll submit changes to it when my pre-reader gets a hold of it. But it felt soooooooo damn good to press the submit button.
