The Good News is, I'm back online. The bad news is two fold.. I'm now high 3-figures poorer and more importantly for this site, the HD with my world notes is officially gone.

My brother, who did the replacement work for me forgot that he was going to try to save what was on the HD and he had disposed of it already. Which led to the following conversation.

Brother: Hey FB, remember that thing you told me to remember?

Fozzie Bare: Yes? Were you able to save the files?

Brother: I forgot to remember. I already got rid of it last night when I finished up the computer

Fozzie Bare: (facepalm)


The good news is the new computer is fricken STURDY. It's about 50 pounds and is pretty top of the line. It's big enough I call it Frankenstein's Monster and inquired of my brother if it needed a lightning strike to power it.

So, what does this mean for my writing? Well, it means all the little sub passages I've already written and how the story's going to go? Gone. That's going to slow me down as I have to rebuild my notes from memory (which as we have already seen can be a tad bit unreliable), but it's not going to stop me

I hope to have FTMD 10 up in the next couple days. RR's will follow after that.

My computer HD, along with everything I had written, however, has. Probably some kinda power surge. Replacemebnt part ordered, but right now I'm REALLY wishing I had saved my work on Dropbox or OneDrive.

been a rough week for FB, as I simultaneously had to switch my healthcare (seriously, here in the US, don't ever lose your healthcare, you'll inevitably get sick right at that moment. I still don't have most of my new health plan's services, but I still had to visit Urgent Care because it was either that or the ER.

Anyway, FTMD Chapter 9 is at the pre-readers, RR is on a bit of a hiatus, as the next chapter's going to be fairly important, and thisis a chapter I have to get RIGHT.

Again, sorry for the short chapter, but I've been spending about 16 hours a day asleep (looks like it's some kinda flu), and there's just way too much to do in the time that I have awake and aware.

Oh, and I would say sorry for the pun in Chapter 8's title. But I'm not ;)

The Muse so far has been a bit recalcitrant (I think she's cheating on me now that National Novel Writing Month is upon us). She left her friend Mi Grane in her abscence. Thankfully, it's no longer "Light sends daggers shooting into the brain", it's now "Sit at the computer for a few minutes and suffer quietly".

It will be up soon-ish, though I promise.

Any one got a good Muse trap? or Migraine Repellent?
