When I started Ninth Grade 1958-1959 I really didn't give the title much thought. Later I realized the name is like so many others that confusion would eventually reign. I have changed the title to Ninth Grade 1958-1959 the Richard Jackson saga. That way those that are reading will be able to find it easily. The next story, God willing and the creek don't rise, will be Richard Jackson Tenth Grade 1959. At that time I will change the title of Ninth grade to Richard Jackson Ninth Grade 1958. Hope you find this as confusing as I did.
Since I've started writing I've found that if you pay attention to reader feed back there is real gold, "in thar hills." In this case a kind reader pointed out the one time in ten thousand words that I used "then" instead of "them". It didn't make the story any less readable, but offended my sense of right (write?).
Being a lazy sort I and not remembering the sentence he pointed out, I just searched for "then" with the plan of correcting that single error.
What I found instead is that I've been using "then" too many times! I've corrected and reposted, while cleaning up other errors.
Buy paying attention to my readers, I have improved my craft slightly.
Thank you all

I was sitting down to add to Ninth grade this morning when my wife interrupted me, wanting to know if I had hid the calculator she had been hunting for the last two days. I hadn't. 'Borrowed' it is the result.
Thanks to the two people who sent emails about Yale not being co-ed until much later than in the script for the movie, Sir Nicklaus. John Wayne is pissed at the script writers and a scene had to be reshot. You will have to read the chapter to see who and what was being shot and with what.
I have lost a readers email that I wanted to thank. They pointed out an error. When Rick was getting his drivers license I had them taking his picture. I realized that they didn't have pictures on licenses back in the day. I fixed the reference in three places but missed a fourth. I appreciate the heads up. When Rick faces the real 1950's I want it to be accurate. Of course when it is my 1950's it is whatever I want it to be. Thanks to all for the kind words. Please keep those sharp eyes open.
