Part II...
So my phone is still dead... I don't know if it will ever recover. Meanwhile I bought a 'Total' wireless phone (flip phone again) mostly 'cause the sales person convinced me it would be easy to transfer my old number... NOT!!
So this phone will probably end up being my mother's phone...
I will probably just go back to the company that has my current phone number and buy a flip phone and pay by the month with them... $5.00 per month to avoid the nuisance of trying to change the phone number. At least according to the (non)service person who sold this phone to me...
Ah well, that seems to be the story of life!
I use a cheap (the least expensive and sophisticated I can find) cell phone. I had mine in my pocket the other day, 'cause I intended to make some calls after work... But I was tired and when I took off my trous to shower I dropped them in the washer, 'cause I had no clean ones with me, as I shower away from where I dry camp....
OOOPSSS! Cell phones ought not to be washed... $30 to replace the phone... I didn't plan to spend yet!
The worst part? Losing my contacts file!!
Traveled one way to work... ten miles... which is not too bad. But the more frustrating thing is that for most things it is a drive of about 30 miles one way to the nearest Wal-mart from where I work, which is like I said about 10 miles from where I camp... Needless to say this can lead to frustration as I forget things that I haven't put on a list or when I have my mother with me and I have to insist she comes into stores with me, 'cause even if she's a grown up I like to track her for some reason when she is riding in my car... After all she has (before) said she'd wait for me at the car and when I got back to the car I ended up having to have her paged in the store... Maybe after the first I will be able to get her on a straight talk phone... She says she won't use it, but if I can just get her to keep it in her purse maybe I can get a track your phone app for a smart phone for myself and feel a bit better when she gets out of my sight when she is riding in my car....
I'd been taking too much aspirin (occasionally) as a stopgap sleep aide/pain relief. Everyone reacted negatively to my level of usage so... Here's what I've done... Daily (alternating) OTC ibuprofin (one tab)or naproxyn (one tab)if sleep is the desire, and it doesn't come soon then benedryl (one tab [25 mg I think]) this helps with any allergy symptoms I may experience as well... :)
On the writing front, still not much getting done. I would like to continue, or extend On Dog Creek and finish Its A Helluva Job neither is seeing much movement. I have two or more pieces featuring Cal/Calienté/Denae that may get finished too. I also have one more episode in the Heinlein Station (Swarm Cycle story) that is started but not near complete.
As long as I'm working hard labor, and dry/cold/dark camping to save money, don't expect too much in the way of additional writing from me however!
