And the dead, with apologies to Louis LaMoure... (spelling not checked...) So I'm not so quick, and my car is most definitely dead. I need to be shopping for one but am busily reading stories here...
Note my priorities are such that I may end up among the dead!
I've been sleeping in a camp trailer for a while. It is borrowed and I knew it was in pretty sorry shape. Well last night the rain hit and drove me out as I discovered at least one leak right above the bed. I'll get the thing tarped for the winter, though I really would like something a bit more durable. But we live with what is possible.
On another front: I'm jealous of Mina (name changed to protect those who don't wish to have their name broadcast to the world) I don't know how old she is or anything about her except that I've worked with her a couple of times now and she is so much faster than me that I feel like a turtle... So I have to recall that getting the job done requires keeping at it... Mina is about 5' nothing and makes the lifts I'm complaining about look easy too... GRRR getting older hurts. Of course when I worked for the plastics company for the last ten years the most I ever had to lift would have been about 60# and that would happen no more than about 4 times an hour....
So I am decidedly out of shape for a job as physical as mine.
Oh and Mina seems to maintain a slight pouch like she either recently had a kid or lost a beer gut. I'll be generous and go with the first. Anyway I just want to keep up with Mina as far as work goes. She can harass the guys all she wants. I have all I can do to just do my work!
The reason I'm so tired lately is the lifting that my job entails. From waist level to about mid ribs, up to about 90lb 40 or more times an hour for 8 hours. Some bending to set stuff in bunkers. Well sort of bunkers. Anyway finished lumber or decorative purposes, molding for doors, windows, etc. Some big baseboards and crown moldings that measure up to 5" wide and 1/2" thick... I'm exhausted...
Part II...
So my phone is still dead... I don't know if it will ever recover. Meanwhile I bought a 'Total' wireless phone (flip phone again) mostly 'cause the sales person convinced me it would be easy to transfer my old number... NOT!!
So this phone will probably end up being my mother's phone...
I will probably just go back to the company that has my current phone number and buy a flip phone and pay by the month with them... $5.00 per month to avoid the nuisance of trying to change the phone number. At least according to the (non)service person who sold this phone to me...
Ah well, that seems to be the story of life!
