The Dead

Flash drive... I discovered one today. I don't know yet if I've actually lost any work, but it is worrisome to find a dead flash drive. So far my other back up drive seems to be working somewhat well... Hopefully I can get to the point of having two drives that I keep up to date with all my work.
I have things to do this fine labor day so I'll get off the computer.... :D

The Unfinished...

Sadly to say, I don't know how to write the middle of stories very well. I don't know how to write the climax as well. That means I have a lot of unfinished work sitting around... How do you go from OH GOD I NEED TO CHANGE to all the work (that is boring yet necessary) to OH MY I LOVE MY NEW LIFE, convincingly? I seem to have missed the mark in a lot of places and left myself written into a corner that I really can't resolve in the case of It's A Helluva Job and I think that the conclusion in On Dog Creek is so weak that I'm often embarrassed to have put it before the public...
Anyway, don't expect much new from me at the moment.

The woes of life...

Seem to still be on me, though not quite so bad. My dad who was receiving mail for me is having a bout with the problems that seem to beset all old men... At 82 he is suffering from an enlarged prostate that he's afraid the docs are going to tell him is cancer.... mostly that means that I'm having trouble receiving mail as the small town post office where he generally receives mail is only open from 9 AM to 1 PM... I work 5 (sometimes six) days a week from OH FUCK too early to after 1 PM so getting mail is a problem for me at the moment...
My computer battery starts to try to charge, but when it warms up it stops charging... I'm hoping it is a dead battery, which I have a promise of receiving a new one soon, but it will be by mail to my dad... so, even though I could probably pick up the mail, my schedule of work is interfering with that...
Ah well, I keep plugging along.

Thank you all

For all the kind support I've received during my times of trouble. I know that I probably could have saved myself some of this trouble if I had taken time to move before things got truly ugly. But hope springs eternal that one will manage without having to essentially move back in with one's parents. Even if in this case I am probably doing a large favor to them by being available to do various things.
Anyway, I don't know that things have turned around yet, but have hope that is so!

The Knot

No this isn't about dog sex... Goodness, is sex the only thing on your mind? Oh yeah, this is supposed to be a sex stories site... Well then, today ye shall remain unsatisfied if you're reading my blog but not my work...
So one thing I maybe haven't talked about is that where I'm bundling moulding (at the Longe Woode Lumber Co [name changed to protect the <s>inno</s> err guilty] all of the moulding id is tied with a nylon twine that is flat.... using a stopper knot (supposed to be figure 8 knot...) I'm half remembering the knot from working at the Shorte Woode Molding company in the '90's where most of the bundles were done with stretch wrap but I learned to tie the stopper knot anyway for various reasons...
So relearning the knot makes me the slowest tieup person on the team, which is part of why I ended up doing the 'lift' a while ago. Once I get this knot down though that will change. Indeed it is already changing when I make the knot right and it doesn't become the great tail eating knot!!!
