Set in the Swarm universe: There has been an election, and not for the first time, the general population doesn't realise quite what it has been voting for. Most people don't notice when it quickly and quietly moves to the extreme right. Like similar regimes before it, the only way it knows to protect itself is with extreme violence and brutality. Sophie, Millie, and a loose cadre of retired military personnel set out to stop them. And they still have to prepare to fight the coming Swarm.
