AfterShock by
dotBA well-written post-apocalyptic story, with likable characters. Unlike many others in this genre, the apocalypse is a localized one, and the less extreme and more minor scope allows for greater focus on character development. DotB is an excellent author; alas many of his stories are unfinished. However, even the unfinished ones are very enjoyable.
Aggy- Book 1 by
Green DragonThis is a more difficult recommendation. Aggy 1 and its sequel are unashamed fanfiction of Weber's Honorverse. Further, the writing is quite rough, and the character development is sketchy.
Still, the rapid pace, broad scope of imagination, and sheer suspense of military action and political intrigue make for an exciting military SF adventure.
Bec by
BarBarA period of growth in the life of remarkable and remarkably appealing adolescent girl.
Deja Vu Ascendancy by
AscendingAuthorMonumental in size, this story portrays a boy who gains some extraordinary gifts, and gains academic progress, social acceptance and sexual satisfaction. The improvements come slowly and with a lot of details and character development.
Some parts are tedious or annoying, but overall the novel is very readable. Plenty of sex, romance, some violence, and a lot of character exploration.
Dragon by
Fick SuckA nice modern fantasy based on classical myth, Dragon is pleasingly spare. There is sex, but it's not overwhelming the plot. There is horror, but it's brief. Plus some situational humor; again, not too much.
Help! by
LazlongLazlong has a simple writing style and appealing protagonists. Help! is simple, but has many enjoyable aspects: likable protagonists, a coming of age plot, and discovery of sexual feelings among adolescents.
Magician's Merger by
Xenophon HendrixAdolescent boy's development, spurred by outside help. Slow, but full of appealing characters and delightful plot twists. Lots of romance, magic, music, with some serious conflicts thrown in. While the ending is good, the novel begs for sequels.
Opus One by
Ryan SylanderA novel of three first-year music students. A coming-of-age story of three young adults, learning about music, relationship, and independent life. The three main characters are appealing, the sex is good, and the ever-present music is full of both hard work and moments of glory.
It's a long book, but I am eagerly waiting for a sequel.
Reciprocal Needs by
Paul PhenomenonPaul Phenomenon posted several good stories. This one is short and satisfying. A brother-sister romance, with some hot sex. Both primary and secondary characters are well-defined and appealing.
Rewind by
Don LockwoodOne of the best of the do-over books, alas unfinished so far. Don Lockwood is well-known for his romantic streak. His protagonist, able to repeat his teenage years, has more sex, but always with strong emotional content.
Sea King by
colt45This is a swords and sorcery adventure, but with sex, loving bondage, and incest. Colt45 has many enjoyable stories, most of which feature these elements in various modern and imaginary settings. This is probably the best start.
Second That Emotion by
LatikiaA long story of a man with extraordinary powers. The young man experiences some heavy trials, but receives much joy in the end. Romance, sex and ESP, with a good dash of violence. Has some flaws but very appealing.
The sequel, Second Thoughts and Last Chances has now been posted as well.
Six-Months Turnaround by
MorganMy favorite Morgan story. Predictable plot, but the main characters are so likable, and the pacing works so well that it's hard to put down. Romance, with a small dash of sex, and some suspense.
Sleepwalker by
Shadow of MoonliteThe teenage protagonist discovers a very useful extra-sensory ability. This helps him to some hot sex, but happy and hot wish fulfillment is tempered by the appealing decency of the protagonist, as well as a rapidly developing suspense plot.
The author has two sequels completed and posted.
The Best of Both Worlds by
DilettanteA guy acquiring multiple lovers story, yet told with such skill and affections for his characters, that it all seems realistic.
A delightful wish fulfillment, without any fantastic elements or coercion; with lots of romance and some hot sex.
The Collar Around the Heart by
Old SoftyAn imaginary setting of future England serves to frame a story of romance, bondage, hot sex, and coming of age. Some of the same elements as in Colt45's works. Old Softy's other stories are also enjoyable, with a heady mixture of romance and sex.
The Last Wish Blues by
LubricanLubrican, formerly known as Beating off Bob, has a number of stories, ranging from pure stroke to romantic suspense. Even his simpler stories often contain a lot of affection for his characters.
This one contains a lot of romance, and relatively little sex. I think it's both excellent and a great starting point.
The Trailer Park by
WizardA year in the life of adolescent boy. Lots of sex, affection, and learning. This is just plain fun, but with some deep emotional moments.
They That Have Power - Book I by
hermitIn a genre of mind-control stories (MC), this one is one of the most enjoyable ones. The protagonist grows in maturity, and tries to minimize harm to others, while having plenty of nooky, of course. Books 2 and 3 are already completed.
Tom's Diary by
Gina Marie WylieA pleasant coming-of-age novel, with plenty of sex, interesting characters, and an appealing adolescent protagonist. Gina Marie Wylie has written several other nice stories and novels, posted here and at other places on the web.
