Well, in an attempt to repost some chapters in Three Signs, Book 2 (Lori), I posted those chapters into Book 4 (Lisa) by mistake. I've just submitted a repost to correct my screw up, so my apologies, I really shouldn't try to do complex things when my mind is otherwise occupied. I promise to have everything fixed this weekend...

As much as I hate to tell you this, but the next chapter of "Lisa" will be delayed by a week or two. Sadly, my father passed away last week; and my immediate writing task will be to write his eulogy, record it and deliver that to my sister in Australia for his funeral in 4 days time. Added to that, my wife is currently back in hospital, some internal bleeding caused her haemoglobin drop to a dangerous level.

But Will, Lisa and the rest of the merry crew will be back shortly.

To all my readers, a very Merry Christmas to you and yours, from me, Will Morris, Lisa, the members of the Roberttones, and everyone in the book. Let's hope that 2021 is a great year for you all.

I was hoping to have the next chapter of 'Lisa' out today, as a Christmas present to you, but I am running a little slow at the moment. The background - about 11 months ago, I started with a new GP (Family Doctor), who said I should get a complete blood panel taken. When he got the results, he said that my PSA levels were getting close to the level where they start to worry, and it had jumped from 2.1 to 3.5 in two years. So he asked me to have a follow up test, a few months later - which was in June. The PSA levels in that test were 4.1. Off to see a urologist, who recommended a prostate biopsy. Not one of the more pleasant medical procedures I have experienced- an ultrasound probe inserted in my arse, local anesthetics applied, and 12 biopsy samples taken. Suffice to say, 'pegging' is now OFF my list of sexual experiences I want to try.

The results were not what I was hoping for, one of the 12 samples showed evidence of prostate cancer. But, it's been caught in a very early stage, and I chose to undergo radiation therapy. I'm in my 5th day of a 45 day process - there is a 98% chance of complete recovery, with minimal side effects. At the moment, I'm getting up at 5:00 am each morning, having breakfast, driving 40 minutes to the oncologist for a 10 minute procedure, then back to work.

All going well, I will be cancer free by the end of February - but, don't worry, I'm still writing, and all going well, the next chapter will be out before the new year, I hope.

Now, this is something that I rarely do, in fact I'm pretty sure I have never done this before, but... the most recent chapter that I have just posted to "Lisa" is dedicated to my good friend Marianna - the final scene in that chapter was inspired by a conversation I had with her. Thank you for your friendship and inspiration, and I hope that one day we can live out the scenarios that we have described together.

Last month, when I was back in Australia visiting my father, one morning early in the visit, my father, brother, along with my wife and myself had lunch after visiting my mother in hospital, at a little cafe in First Street, Sawtell, called "Split". They were playing Australian music from the 1980s, and the first song I recognized was Mental as Anything's 'Live it Up'. I was saddened to read in the paper a morning or two afterwards that their lead singer and composer of many of their hit songs, Andrew 'Greedy' Smith had died overnight.

So, I decided that I had to put something in the latest chapter, in memoriam to a great songwriter and performer - hence the Roberttones doing the double-header gig in Adeliade with the Mentals.

Vale Greedy Smith - I hope you are living it up in heaven. RIP
