Wanted to let everyone know that may be reading this I've picked up an editor again (thanks, Norm) and have sent chapter 11 up for review. It will be posted to the site once I get it back.
That's right, folks. I'm still alive. On top of that, if the moderators work as quickly as I'm sure they will chapter 10 will be posted to the site in the next few hours, as I just finished submitting it. Sorry it's been such a gap in writing. Life happened and got busy Army-wise with getting ready for a deployment. Made it back to Iraq again a little over a month ago. Hopefully things will allow me to do more writing here and I'll be able to keep it going. I'm setting a goal for two chapters a week, so hopefully that will work out.
Sorry for such a long gap between chapters 8 and 9. Shouldn't happen again I'm thinking. One disadvantage to it is I think I don't have an editor anymore. If anyone would like to volunteer their services please let me know.
I'm not sure if anyone will see this before I post the next chapter, but in case there is someone who checks this periodically...I'm getting started on the next chapter in my story. Life happened for a while and I lost my motivation for writing while living it. Things are fairly relaxed right now, so I'm going to get back to writing again and should hopefully be able to get a chapter posted soon. That, and should be able to post new chapters on a more regular basis.
Yes, I'm still alive in case anyone had started to wonder. Life's kept me busy for the last while, that and I've just been enjoying the fact that I'm back in the states now (got back from Iraq on Feb 1st for anyone curious). I've picked back up writing again, working on chapter 9 currently and I should have it submitted to my editor within a day or so and posted once I've got it back. I'm thinking it'll probably either be chapter 9 or 10 (probably 10) that will have the first date that is referenced in the story title.
