So I'd like to thank the couple of you who have pointed out that I've had a few very definite mistakes in my writing that I missed correcting. There's been I think a couple places where I inadvertently switched from talking about Tonya to talking about Nicole (or vice versa). So I apologize, you guys may just need to look at the full context to figure which one I'm talking about. Also, it is Tonya, not Tanya as I had first started out with. Got rid of my senility and remembered how she had actually spelled her name, just took me a little while.
On a good note, I've got a little over 2 pages in on the next chapter. The length for the next few chapters could vary, it'll depend on what I feel inspired to write about and where things hit a good breaking point. When I've got some free time I'll go back and clean up old chapters to get things squared away better.
Sorry for the delay, folks. The base I was at in Iraq ended up going to filtered net, so lost my connection to here. On a good note I'm out and got to Kuwait now. Just stuck here for the next six months, roughly. Should be able to get back into a routine with the writing though. Time-wise things will probably start skipping forward a little more now. Finally got to the first date mentioned in the story. 14 chapters probably covered about 6 weeks of time. Have roughly a year and a half left to cover, but it'll be by hitting the highlights for the most part going forward.
Folks, sorry things have been busy lately and I haven't been able to do any writing yet on the next chapter. I've got an outline for it and hopefully will get it going and able to be put out to my editor within the next week or so.
A note on constructive criticism. I appreciate it and welcome it. I received a mail a while ago stating that there wasn't much going on in the story and that the reader was getting bored with it. Understandable, and as I've stated it is a basically true story. Like a lot of people, my life wasn't always exciting/drama filled growing up. That being said, this is a story with some minor things changed. I'm going to go ahead and take some more minor liberties with actual events with entertaining readers in mind - adding a little more drama/action. That being said, keep in mind this is and will remain at heart a true story. Also keep in mind that the slow code is in for a reason. Things will be picking up a bit though, summer's close to ending as far as my writing plan goes and the first date that the story title references will most likely be featured in the next chapter I post. To those that still follow, I appreciate your patience and interest and hope that I'm able to keep you entertained. To be honest, I'm surprised the writing has gone this far to get to it, but had to set things up a bit first.
