I have submitted for posting, Chapter 9. No sex in this chapter, simply some development of the plot as our protagonists make their way home, whatever that may mean in this ever more peculiar world they find themselves living in.

I have not, presently, completed Chapter Ten, although it is well on the way. I'm "slaving away" at it. Thank you for reading, and thank you for thoughtful comments.

I've been working at this story, off and on, for a couple of years. Finally, the conclusion came together in my imagination, so I could write the last chapter. Several proof readings later, here it is!

Several readers had commented, unfavorably in some cases, wistfully in others, regarding my strung out chapter-a-week (if even that fast!) pace of posting. Let's see how this chapter-dump goes!

Due to the hiatus between posting chapter seven, and writing chapter eight (and following chapters), one reader suggested that I provide a review of the previous material, for those who might want to read the entirety of the preceding chapters. (although, I cannot imagine why they might elect to deprive themselves!)

A couple of readers have commented on some of the actions Mark and Emily have taken in the course of this imaginary walk across Michigan. Item One, the actions presented seem reasonable to me, given the circumstances posited in the story. Item Two, this chapter may address some of the concerns. Item Three, Thank you for reading, and thank you for getting so engaged in the story as to question actions of the characters.

Many readers have taken the time to write me about "Emily", and indicated that they wanted more. I have been writing, since I closed the story, and believe that I have three satisfactory chapters completed. I am working on a fourth, and perhaps another will follow that one.

I anticipate posting the next one towards the end of this week (perhaps Thursday, perhaps Friday).
